About Me

Your Journey to Healing Starts Here

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about walking alongside people to heal from life's hurts and assisting them in learning how to walk in health and wholeness. I use a holistic approach to care for your needs.

I am trained in family systems and utilize evidence-based theories with couples and individuals. As a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS) trained with APSATS, I also specialize in addressing betrayal trauma and supporting partners of sex addiction. My practice offers hope and healing through professional expertise, with faith-based guidance available for those who desire it.

My Philosophy

I believe that healing happens in the context of safe, authentic relationships. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, navigating a difficult life transition, or working through relationship challenges, my goal is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.

My approach integrates the latest research in neuroscience, attachment theory, and trauma informed therapy. For clients who desire it, I can also incorporate spiritual perspectives and faith-based principles into our work together. I see each person as having inherent worth and dignity, capable of growth and transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're experiencing emotional distress, relationship difficulties, or life challenges that are affecting your daily functioning or quality of life, therapy can be beneficial. Many people find therapy helpful for personal growth, even without a specific crisis. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help determine if we're a good fit.

The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on your concerns, goals, and progress. Some people find relief in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust our approach as needed. You're always in control of how long you continue therapy.

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share remains private, with few exceptions required by law: risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected child or elder abuse, or court-ordered disclosure. I'll explain confidentiality fully during our first session.

Yes, I offer secure video sessions for clients located in Pennsylvania. Teletherapy can be convenient for those with busy schedules, transportation challenges, or health concerns. The effectiveness of teletherapy has been shown to be comparable to in-person sessions for many concerns.

I understand that life happens. Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid being charged for the session. For emergencies or sudden illness, we can discuss options on a case-by-case basis.

For your first session, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete intake paperwork (or complete it online beforehand). Think about what you'd like to work on, but don't worry about having everything figured out. The first session is about getting to know each other and establishing your therapy goals.

I do not accept insurance directly; however, I am happy to provide you with a superbill and detailed invoices that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify your coverage, deductible, and reimbursement rates for out-of-network therapy services.
