About Me

Your Journey to Healing Starts Here

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about walking alongside people to heal from life's hurts and assisting them in learning how to walk in health and wholeness. I use a holistic approach to care for your needs.

My Philosophy

As a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS) trained with APSATS, I also specialize in addressing betrayal trauma and supporting partners of sex addiction. My practice offers a safe, supportive environment for healing and growth. I integrate the latest research in neuroscience, attachment theory, and trauma informed therapy. For clients who desire it, I can also incorporate spiritual perspectives and faith-based principles into our work together. I see each person as a whole being — body, mind, and spirit — and tailor my approach to your unique story and strengths. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, navigating a difficult life transition, or working through the aftermath of betrayal, I'm here to help you find your path forward through professional expertise, with faith-based guidance available for those who desire it.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're experiencing emotional distress, relationship difficulties, or life challenges that are affecting your daily functioning or quality of life, therapy can be beneficial. Many people find therapy helpful for personal growth, even without a specific crisis. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help determine if we're a good fit.

Individual therapy focuses on your personal concerns and growth. Couples therapy addresses relationship dynamics and communication between partners. Family therapy involves multiple family members and focuses on improving family relationships and dynamics. I'm trained in all three modalities and can recommend the best approach for your situation.

The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on your concerns, goals, and progress. Some people find relief in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust our approach as needed. You're always in control of how long you continue therapy.

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. What you share remains private, with few exceptions required by law: risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected child or elder abuse, or court-ordered disclosure. I'll explain confidentiality fully during our first session.

Yes, I offer secure video sessions for clients located in Pennsylvania. Teletherapy can be convenient for those with busy schedules, transportation challenges, or health concerns. The effectiveness of teletherapy has been shown to be comparable to in-person sessions for many concerns.

I understand that life happens. Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid being charged for the session. For emergencies or sudden illness, we can discuss options on a case-by-case basis.

For your first session, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete intake paperwork (or complete it online beforehand). Think about what you'd like to work on, but don't worry about having everything figured out. The first session is about getting to know each other and establishing your therapy goals.

I do not accept insurance directly; however, I am happy to provide you with a superbill and detailed invoices that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify your coverage, deductible, and reimbursement rates for out-of-network therapy services.
